The London Borough of Barnet (the “Council”) is seeking to engage with the market in preparation for the procurement of care and support services at the existing Extra Care Housing (ECH) scheme in Barnet, Wood Court, South Road, Edgware, HA8 0BF. This notice is issued in accordance with sections 16 and 17 of the Procurement Act 2023 to seek market input before the commencement of a formal procurement process. This notice is issued to inform and invite potential providers to participate in early market engagement activities. This is not a call for competition. The Council intends to commission a provider to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support services at Wood Court. The scheme comprises 39 one-bedroom flats, of which 11 are not currently in scope for this contract. The successful provider will be expected to: •Deliver flexible, responsive care tailored to individual needs. •Promote independence and dignity among residents. •Collaborate effectively with the housing provider (Peabody Trust) and other local services. •Foster a vibrant, inclusive community within the scheme. The London Borough of Barnet (LBB) is upgrading study spaces in Finchley Church End Library and Colindale Library after securing Section 106 money for the project. Our project is the targeted refurbishment of study spaces in both Finchley Church End Library and Colindale Library. These are some of our busiest and larger libraries within our network and with heavy demand on study spaces. We want to improve their functionality in a way that still allows other users to enjoy the library. We also want to move towards becoming a Dementia Friendly Venue and need to make sure that all customers can navigate the space easily, so designing out the potential trip hazard from trailing wires and displaced furniture will be important. Longford and Bell Court are two residential blocks (Medium and High Rise building, one block compromises of16 floors, the other 8floors).
