The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has a legal responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in their area in accordance with section 17 of the Children's Act 1989. The Council is advertising to seek tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to join our new open framework of providers for the provision of Bespoke Packages of Care Services. The service will provide bespoke support and intervention packages of care for children in need, children in care, children with disabilities and children subject to a child protection plan. The support and intervention will be targeted and focused on the following type of cases: Edge of care Rehabilitation Fragile Placement/Outreach Packages Support packages could be put in place for hours, days, weeks or months. The type of support required will vary from family to family but will not include domestic or home care. Support and intervention packages will be tailored specifically by the Councils Specialist Intervention Service, to meet the needs of the child/young person and/or their families. Contractors will be required to deliver the support and intervention under the co-ordination of the Specialist Intervention Service. Organisations who wish to express an interest must: Have at least one-year relevant experience in delivering this type of service; Employ Family Support Workers with relevant experience of working within a children's social care setting or similar e.g. residential children's home, school support or have relevant experience that is transferable. The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has a legal responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people in their area in accordance with section 17 of the Children’s Act 1989. The Council is advertising to seek tenders from suitably experienced and qualified organisations to join our new open framework of providers for the provision of Bespoke Packages of Care Services. The new contracts are expected to run for a period of eight (8) years commencing on the 01st of October 2025. The award of contracts will be based on the most advantageous tender. The service will provide bespoke support and intervention packages of care for children in need, children in care, children with disabilities and children subject to a child protection plan. The support and intervention will be targeted and focused on the following type of cases: Edge of care: intervention is targeted towards families whose children are at risk of coming into care without significant intervention. Bespoke packages will be specifically focused on ameliorating familial issues, reducing the need of children and/or young people to come into the care system Rehabilitation: intervention is targeted at children and/or young people that are already in the care system. We use a strengths-based approach in our social care work and seek to build on the assets and relationships people have in their communities. We are committed to support and enhance our residents' abilities and resilience to live in their own homes, for as long as possible, as independently as possible. Under the Care Act 2014, the local authority must provide or arrange for the provision of services that promote wellbeing, contribute towards preventing, delaying or reducing the needs for care and support in individuals and meet the needs for care and support of adults who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Care Act 2014. The Framework will assign a total of 9 providers in three geographical lots to cover the borough to deliver these services, in a manner that is tailored to individual needs and enable our residents to continue to improve the skills they need to maintain their independence in their own homes. The work comprising of the modernisation of two Passenger Lifts at Catherine Godfrey House, Goresbrook Road, Dagenham, RM9 6YG, and, The George Crouch Centre, Althorne Way, Dagenham, RM10 7DG. The successful Contractor will be appointed under the Contract Model Form of General Conditions of Contract MF/1 2014, Upon submitting a tender for this project, the tenderer is to have read, understood and agreed to these Special Conditions. Any proposed Contractor amendments are to be submitted with the tender return. As such, the Contractor must be both willing and capable of controlling the design development and construction phases to ensure that the project is completed. These lifts are located in sheltered accommodations where residents are dependent on the lifts on a daily basis and hence the works must be carried out in the shortest time possible. The minimum acceptable programme is outlined within the documentation However, part of the selection is to provide improvement to the base line installation programme. It is anticipated that the works will commence on the 1st May 2025. Contractors must make themselves aware of the site layout, work requirements and the need to plan works, monitor safety on site and react promptly to changes in site conditions. Permanent stair lifts are required for the Catherine Godfery House and George Crouch Centre.
