Notice Title

Non-Violent Resistance Training - Lots 1 & 2

Notice Description

The Council is seeking to engage a supplier(s) for the provision of two Lots of training, Lot 1 for 25 across Early help, Education and Children's Social Care services in delivering Non-violent resistance (NVR) support to families in Croydon affected by child to parent violence, both individually and in a group setting. We are seeking training that equips practitioners with the core knowledge and skills necessary to competently use the NVR intervention to address violence, aggression, and controlling behavior in the family, school and community. We are looking for interested and experienced providers who are able to offer professional accreditation for practitioners post training. We are also seeking an experienced training provider to deliver Non-violent resistance (NVR) workshops to 300 frontline community based/universal services practitioners (Lot 2) across the community that support children and families, including practitioners in the voluntary, faith and community sector, health, education, and police. Whilst practitioners attending these workshops will not be expected to deliver NVR interventions to families, they may be supporting families who are currently accessing NVR support and can actively support the approach. It is therefore essential that those working with families affected by child to parent violence have a sound understanding of key principles that underpin the NVR approach.
