Summary of the contracting process

The University of Nottingham is currently managing a tender for a "Digital Asset Management Solution" as part of its extensive Digital Change Project aimed at enhancing its digital systems infrastructure. The procurement process is at the tender stage, with expressions of interest having closed on 9 March 2018 at 12:00 PM. The tender is set to conclude on 24 April 2018, with the contract period expected to start from 4 June 2018 and last until 30 June 2021. This initiative falls under the services industry category, and submissions should be directed to the university's location in Nottingham, East Midlands, United Kingdom. The procurement method is selective, adhering to a restricted procedure above the threshold.

This opportunity presents significant avenues for growth for businesses that specialise in digital solutions, particularly those offering cloud-based services, digital asset management, and relevant integrations with customer experience and relationship management systems. Given the suitability for small and medium-sized enterprises, there's a compelling chance for innovative firms to provide a comprehensive solution that meets the University of Nottingham's stringent requirements, especially in light of GDPR compliance and user experience enhancements.

Notice Title

Digital Asset Management Solution

Notice Description

The University of Nottingham is currently undertaking a large Digital Change Project which encompasses the development of new infrastructure for its digital systems and communications tools. As part of this, the University of Nottingham is seeking to replace an existing asset storage system with a cloud based Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution which can store images, video and other digital assets. The current image storage solution has been identified as not being fit for purpose due to a very poor user experience, lack of technical flexibility and poor security in preparation for GDPR. UoN has set up a Project the objectives of which are to procure a solution from a third-party supplier who can not only provide a DAM solution that is fit for purpose but can host off-site as a full managed service. It must also be able to integrate with a new Customer Experience (CX) website and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution that are also being procured within the Digital Engagement Workstream. Additional information: TENDERERS MUST EXPRESS THEIR INTEREST THROUGH FIRST REGISTERING ON THE UNIVERSITY'S E-TENDERING SYSTEM https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofnottingham/ Non-compliant expressions of interest (EOI) will not be considered or acknowledged.
