Interpretation and Translation Services

Notice Description

NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group has commenced a review of its commissioning arrangements for the provision of Interpretation and Translation Services. This service will provide a high quality, confidential and effective interpretation and translation service for those people who are registered with a Hull GP or living in Hull but not registered with a GP who wish to access Primary Care services and for whom communication in English presents a significant barrier to understanding. The service will deliver interpreting and translation services for the Authorised Users comprising of GP Practices, Dentists, Pharmacists and Optometrists based in the city of Hull. This will include providing services in the following ways: * Face to face interpretation services; * Telephone interpretation services; * Video conferencing; * Translation service for printed material including hospital letters - to and from English; * Signing (using British Sign Language); * Audio Transcriptions. NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) would like to request Providers share their views and experience of Interpretation and Translation Services. It is NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group's intention that formal procurement activities will commence in February 2016. All Providers are invited to participate including providers currently in the Interpretation and Translation Services market or considering a move into the market within the Hull geographic area. The views of providers will be highly valued and will be used to inform the service specification. Please note that NHS Hull Clinical Commissioning Group will not reimburse any cost to any Provider for participating in this RFI. Additional information: To participate, please complete and return the questionnaire located in the Project 20137, PQQ_ 29201. If you are happy to share any electronic copies of any documents you feel would enhance the responses you have provided, you can attach these to your response. Feel free to answer some or all of the questions as appropriate and relevant to you by the deadline 13:00 Tuesday 8 December 2015.
