Notice Description

This contract includes for works on both maintenance (revenue) and capital schemes. The maximum value of any scheme (revenue or capital) is PS49,999 under the council's current standing orders. The revenue schemes are generally for the council to maintain their own property and include repair and surfacing works to car parks, roads and footpaths, works to open and piped watercourses, cycle lanes, council housing stock and council industrial facilities. Other diverse works are also required from time to time. The capital schemes generally include environmental improvement works to the adopted highway, improvement works to council housing estates, provision of structures for CCTV hardware and flood defence measures. The value of work over the three-year period cannot be guaranteed but is estimated to be in the order of PS300,000.00 per annum In order to ensure continuity and to develop a good working relationship, the contractor is expected to assign a sufficient number of gangs to the contract and to utilise those same gangs for the duration of the contract.
