Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the electrical re-wiring project at Hungate Court, facilitated by Beyond Housing Limited, is now complete. This project, classified under the CPV code for electrical wiring and fitting work, took place in Hunmanby, North Yorkshire, commencing on 5th August 2019 and was intended to conclude by 30th September 2019. The open procedure, below threshold, allowed for competitive tendering, with a total contract value of £69,735. The tender period concluded on 29th May 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in electrical installation and maintenance services. The project required contractors capable of modernising older electrical systems within a community centre that serves elderly residents, thereby attracting SMEs with experience in similar works and an understanding of the unique requirements associated with such installations. The accessible nature of this project makes it an excellent fit for local firms looking to expand their portfolio in the public works sector.
