Summary of the contracting process

The British Red Cross is seeking to establish a multi-lot Framework Agreement for Interpretation and Translation Services. This procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with key activities scheduled to conclude by 18th May 2017. The Framework will last for 24 months, commencing on 3rd July 2017, and covers various service categories including spoken and non-spoken interpretation, translation, and transcription services. The total estimated value of the services required is approximately £780,000, with no minimum spending commitment set by the organisation.

This opportunity presents a significant chance for growth for businesses specialising in language services, particularly small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs). Suitable contenders will include those equipped to deliver both telephone and face-to-face interpretation along with comprehensive translation services across multiple languages and dialects. Businesses that can demonstrate quality offerings paired with competitive pricing will be well-positioned to secure one of the spots in this collaborative procurement process.
