Notice Title

Soft Market Testing: Secure City Programme - Security Management System

Notice Description

The City of London Corporation (the 'City') and City of London Police are carrying out Pre-Procurement Market Engagement ('PPME') in relation to a Security Management System as part of the Secure City Programme. The City will consider the feedback received to help inform its options and further decision making. For the avoidance of doubt, this phase of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and the City is not committing, at this stage, to carrying out such a process. Participation or non-participation in the PPME shall not prevent any supplier participating in a potential future procurement, nor is it intended that any information supplied as part of the PPME shall place any supplier at an advantage in a potential procurement process. Participation in the PPME will be at each organisation's own cost. No expense in responding to this PPME will be reimbursed by the City. Additional information: This is a soft market testing exercise in relation to an upcoming requirement for the Secure City Programme - Security Management System. The Secure City programme - Security Management System is a joint initiative between the City of London Corporation and City Police, intended to deliver significant improvements to the safety of Square Mile residents, workers and visitors. Drawing on the success of historical approaches to security and the latest examples of best practice from capital cities across the globe, the programme will future-proof security arrangements to meet the challenges of 2025 and beyond. If your organisation would like to participate in this PPME exercise, it can do so by completing and returning the SMT Questionnaire, which should be received by 12:00 Noon on 25 October 2019; this can be found on the City's e-procurement portal at: www.capitalesourcing.com. Participants should register as a supplier on the portal on the aforementioned link (if not already), then search for the opportunity titled "Secure City Programme - Security Management System" where the questionnaire can be obtained. Please ensure the questionnaire is uploaded to the capital esourcing portal. **PLEASE NOTE: THE CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF THE SMT QUESTIONNAIRE HAS NOW BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 12:00 NOON ON FRIDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2019**
