Notice Title

How the West is one - Coastal access

Notice Description

How the West is one is a project that has been in development without funding for approx. 18 months. We have developed a partnership group for the Cumbrian west coast and have developed four exemplar partnership projects that use a Natural Capital approach and will deliver benefits for people living in economically deprived coastal communities along the coast from the Duddon Estuary to the Solway Firth. It is part of the Catchment Pioneer project that is testing new ways of working to achieve the ambitions of Defra's 25 YEP. The concept of How the West is one is to secure long term financial investments from large industries.
