Scarborough Borough Council has identified an opportunity to help raise the profile of independent business across the Borough. It is recognized that both before the pandemic and during the current time, that there has been a radical change in our high streets not just in Scarborough, but UK-wide. The scope of this project is to initiate initiatives to promote, support and increase the profile of independent businesses in and around Scarborough as part of a strategy to help diversify and strengthen the local economy and showcase the areas local distinctiveness.
