1.1 Experience Barnsley Museum and Discovery Centre is located in Barnsley Town Hall in the centre of Barnsley. The Town Hall was built in 1933 and the Museum and Discovery Centre opened within the building in 2013 and is operated by Barnsley Museums, part of Barnsley MBC. The Museum houses a variety of items from our social history, archaeology and archive collections. 1.2 We are seeking a contractor for the design, production, transport and installation of two showcases at Experience Barnsley Museum following the award of funding from DCMS/Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund for a new display area
