Notice Description

Electrical Inspection and Rewiring Contract [2021-2024] This is an OJEU contract, Restricted Procedure, consisting of 2 Lots. Award criteria is 60% Quality and 40% Price. The contract term is 3 + 2 years. The contract will commence on 1st June 2021. All documents are available on Havebury's website by following the link provided. N.B. All responses to queries for additional information during Stage 1 will be updated regularly and made available on Havebury's website, therefore it is extremely important this is checked regularly as it may help with the completion of your Selection Questionnaire (SQ). Stage 1 requires the completion of the SQ and provision of 3 Confidential References. Stage 2 will involve the 6 highest-scoring SQ applicants being invited to tender towards the end of December 2020. The work will comprise one or more of the following items: * Complete rewiring of specified property including removal of all existing redundant electrical wiring and fittings (consumer unit, sockets, switches and light fittings). * Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) within specified properties to Chapter 6 of BS 7671:2018 and ascertain condition of wiring. Where improvement or upgrade works are required a survey form is to be completed identifying required works and valued by the Contractor from the attached Schedule of Rates. * Minor electrical works to specified property which may include providing one or more additional electrical fittings, associated works and testing of subsequent work. Services will be carried out to various properties which include Flats (up to 3 storeys), Houses, Supported and Sheltered Housing Schemes and Havebury's Head Office - all within a 50-mile radius of Bury St Edmunds.
