Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the Cornwall Council seeking providers for the "Universal PSHE Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly." This initiative, classified under education and training services, aims to deliver a comprehensive, trauma-informed PSHE curriculum targeting various age groups. The tender is currently in the active stage and is being conducted via an open procurement method. The deadline for submissions is 6th January 2020, with the contract anticipated to commence on 1st February 2020 and concluding on 30th November 2020. The project is set in the South West region of the United Kingdom, with a contract value of £95,000 and a minimum threshold of £50,000 for interested parties.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses focused on educational services, particularly those that specialise in developmental psychology and curriculum design. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would find this tender particularly suitable, as the Cornwall Council explicitly encourages their participation. Companies that can deliver a 'train the trainer' model and have experience in trauma-informed educational practices will greatly benefit from this contract, potentially enhancing their profile and client base in the public sector.
