Summary of the contracting process

The South of England Procurement Services is initiating the procurement process for "Communication Support Services" on behalf of several authorities, including NHS Brighton and Hove Clinical Commissioning Group, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust, and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This planned procurement, classified under translation services (CPV code: 79530000), is set to enter the market engagement stage, with a Request for Information (RFI) document circulated to gather supplier feedback before formal procurement decisions are made. Interested suppliers are expected to submit their responses by 2nd May 2017. The intended contract period runs from April 2018 to March 2021, with a possible extension of up to 24 months.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in communication and translation services, particularly those capable of developing locally tailored solutions for diverse populations. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this a suitable opportunity to compete, especially those with expertise in responsive service delivery within the health sector. This RFI is particularly aimed at engaging suppliers early in the process, allowing them to influence service specifications and sharing insights that could align with the commissioning authorities’ needs.
