Summary of the contracting process

The Isle of Wight Council is currently inviting tenders for inclusion in an Approved Supplier List (ASL) aimed at providing specialist homecare services. This procurement is classified under the health services and community health services categories, with a focus on supporting individuals with dementia and other cognitive diagnoses. The procurement is in the tender stage and submissions will be accepted until 27 November 2020. The ASL is scheduled to commence on 1 February 2021 and will remain active until 31 January 2029, with potential extensions available.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in homecare services, particularly those equipped to offer innovative and high-quality care solutions. Organizations that are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and can demonstrate capability in delivering services such as live-in care, end-of-life support, and nurse-led homecare will be well positioned to compete. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are encouraged to apply, especially as the ASL will allow for collaboration on blended service packages.
