Summary of the contracting process

The NHS London Procurement Partnership, hosted by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, is initiating a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of minor works and maintenance. This procurement falls under the construction work category, with a budget of £1.69 billion. The tender period will close on 27th May 2020, while the contract period is set to commence on 7th June 2020 and conclude on 23rd April 2025. The procurement method is selective, following a restricted procedure, allowing suppliers to apply for a place in multiple related categories which include services such as electrical installation, asbestos treatment, and general building maintenance.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary and community social enterprises (VCSEs) to engage with NHS contracts, promoting business growth through diversified service offerings. Businesses that specialise in construction, maintenance, and repair services, particularly those qualified in the related categories of the DPS, are well-positioned to benefit. With the DPS remaining open for new applications throughout its lifespan, interested companies can apply at any stage, making it a flexible opportunity for suppliers looking to expand their client base within the public sector.
