Summary of the contracting process

The NORTH WESTERN UNIVERSITIES PURCHASING CONSORTIUM LIMITED is engaging in a public procurement effort titled "Cleaning and Janitorial Supplies," aimed at establishing a Framework Agreement. This initiative falls under the goods category and addresses the need for cleaning-related products across various sectors. The Framework Agreement, valued at £12 million, is set to commence on 1st March 2020, with a primary contract period extending until 29th February 2024. The procurement process follows an open procedure and encompasses five distinct lots encompassing cleaning chemicals, refuse sacks, paper hygiene products, and cleaning consumables for both Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Key dates include the tender submission deadline of 3rd January 2020.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses looking to expand within the cleaning supplies sector, primarily benefiting suppliers of cleaning chemicals, hygiene products, and associated consumables. Companies with experience in providing large quantities of goods to public sector entities, particularly those capable of meeting the specifications outlined in the five lots, would find this contract particularly suitable. Additionally, members of the procurement consortium, including local government bodies and public corporations, may look to utilise this Framework Agreement, enhancing potential business growth for competing suppliers.
