Summary of the contracting process

The Runnymede Borough Council invites tenders for the design, supply, and installation of a new play space, along with associated landscaping at Fernlands Open Space in Chertsey South (KT16 9FH). This procurement falls under the services category, with a focus on playground equipment. The tender is currently in the active stage and has a submission deadline of 12th May 2017. The project is meant to address the absence of designated play spaces in the local residential area, where the site presents unique challenges due to its size and proximity to residential properties. All applications must be submitted electronically via the SE Shared Services Procurement eSourcing portal.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in playground equipment, landscaping, and outdoor design. Contractor companies that are experienced in working within constrained spaces and capable of conducting site assessments would be well-suited for this project. Additionally, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can particularly benefit from this opportunity as the council seeks to encourage participation from smaller contractors who can provide innovative solutions suited to local needs.
