Summary of the contracting process

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is seeking tenders for its "LJMU 2414 Agreement for Banking Services," classified under CPV code 66110000 for banking services. The procurement is handled through an open procedure above the threshold. The services need to encompass a broad range of day-to-day banking needs, including UK and foreign currency accounts, online banking, deposit and borrowing solutions, and compatibility with third-party software such as Oracle and Unit 4 Business World. The contract is set to begin on 1st February 2025 and will run until 31st January 2029. The tender submission deadline is 27th November 2024, 12:00 PM, and interested parties must access documents via In-tend. The procurement is not recurrent.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for banking service providers looking to expand their business into the educational sector, with a contract value of £9,000,000. Businesses equipped with robust technological solutions for banking services and capabilities to offer cost-effective and efficient banking arrangements will be well-suited for this opportunity. However, it is noted that this procurement is not tailored for SMEs or VCSEs. Providers who specialise in integrating banking systems with third-party solutions and are adept in handling various currency accounts and online facilities have the potential to thrive through this tender process.
