Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "Formwork, Reinforcement & Concrete" project is being managed by Galliford Try, a key player in the construction industry based in Edinburgh, Scotland. This project is part of the A47 / A11 Thickthorn Interchange development in Norfolk, aimed at alleviating congestion at the Thickthorn junction. Currently in the planning stage, this tender has a deadline for Notifications of Interest set for 16:00 on 31st August 2021, and the anticipated commencement for Stage 1 works is scheduled for September 2021. The project encompasses the construction of various reinforced concrete structures as part of the new highway network.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in construction, particularly those proficient in civil engineering, concrete supply, and structural work. Companies aiming to compete will benefit from passing the PAS91 onboarding process to work with Galliford Try. The scale of the project, which requires substantial quantities of materials and expertise, also suggests that medium to larger-sized contractors with experience in formwork and reinforcement would be well suited for this tender. Engaging with this opportunity could lead to sustained business growth through future collaborations on similar infrastructure projects.
