Notice Description

Under the Children's Act, local authorities need to make sure that children and young people who live in their area: * have a range of provision offering a choice of high quality, appropriate positive activities (places to go and things to do) * can get the information, advice and guidance that they need to make good decisions about extra curriculum activities. Bolton Councils strategic aims are to achieve economic wellbeing, narrow the gap and protect the most vulnerable citizens in the borough. An aspiration is that all children and young people will get the support they need to help them thrive and achieve as they grow up and prepare for independent adult life. To be eligible applicants must be: * A Bolton based voluntary, community provider or consortium * Have a proven track record of delivering positive activities for SEND children and young people Grant funded projects must demonstrate that they are complementing and not in direct competition with other provision i.e. offering the same activities, in the same area and at the same time
