Arts Council England requires research to help us understand the attitudes to and perceptions of arts and culture held by children/young people and why they do and do not regularly engage in the arts as audiences or active participants. We are also equally interested in the role that parents and families play as influencers and determinants in encouraging/discouraging participation.
