Cafe for New Hospital in York
Notice Description
MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT An exciting new opportunity to provide the cafe in York's new mental health hospital. We will be opening the new mental health hospital on Haxby Road in York in spring 2020 and have designed a cafe in the main entrance area as an important focal point for service users, carers, staff and visitors. The hospital will accommodate 72 beds across 4 wards and it is anticipated that there will be approximately 100 staff on site each day. Additionally there is a student campus next door which may provide further footfall opportunities. Local engagement has identified a need for provision of hot and cold drinks and snacks, and potential vending opportunities. A focus on healthy eating will be essential. The preference is for the cafe to provide recovery opportunities such as work experience and voluntary roles for people who are in receipt of or have used mental health services. This ethos is aligned to the Trust's recovery principles. If your organisation is passionate about providing a cafe of this nature, and you are keen to embed a recovery focus we would like to hear from you. We are holding a market engagement event to present the hospital plans and talk through what is required. There will also be opportunity to ask questions and for 1:1 meetings if required. WHEN: 4th April 2019 with presentation and open questions at 10:30am, *1:1 sessions will follow if requested when booking* VENUE: York St John University Sports Park, Haxby Road, York, YO31 8TA To book your places please register using the following link: https://www.cardea.nhs.uk/Cardea/DisplayModules/TradeModules/Negotiations/Opportunities/ViewOpportunityEvent.aspx?EventID=4048&Culture=en-GB
