Fit-out services for The Innovation Platform Exhibition at the National Railway Museum and Locomotion

Notice Description

The Innovation Platform will be a dedicated display where we will reveal one ground-breaking object from the contemporary rail industry at a time. It is a collective opportunity for the Science Museum Group and partners in the rail sector to showcase the latest and greatest in rail technology to the public. The Innovation Platform will provide a flexibly delivered visitor offer during masterplan construction works, which will take place across both museum sites for the duration of the project. The project will be ongoing for two years at each site. At the National Railway Museum, there will be twelve objects exhibited on a two-month rolling display. At Locomotion, there will be four objects exhibited, on a six-month rolling display. Object displays will be grouped into four Seasons: Autonomous Technology, Decarbonisation, Smart Cities and Communities. This invitation to tender is for the fabrication of the exhibition structures that will be used for all four Seasons at NRM and LCM, and the fit-out for Season 1 at NRM and LCM. Seasons 2-4 will be tendered separately at a future date.
