Summary of the contracting process

The Verwood Town Council is inviting tenders for the replacement of teen play equipment at Doorstep Green, located on Verwood Road in Three Legged Cross, England. This procurement focuses on addressing poor drainage issues and enhancing the teen area environment. The procurement stage is currently in the Tender phase, with a deadline for submissions set for 6th September 2019. The contract is valued at £100,000, with a minimum value of £85,000, and is classified under recreational, cultural and sporting services, falling under a direct procurement method via a single tender action.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for construction and landscaping businesses looking to expand their portfolio in public projects, particularly those with experience in recreational facility development. Companies capable of delivering integrated solutions for outdoor play equipment, including site-specific adaptations for drainage and safety, will be well-positioned to compete. The project’s strict deadline for tender submissions and completion by 31st March 2020 necessitates firms that can mobilise quickly and effectively manage the complexities of site access and safety regulations.
