Summary of the contracting process

The Rickinghall Parish Council is seeking tenders for the construction of a new All Wheel Sports Area, specifically to replace the existing skate park at Rickinghall Village Hall, located in Diss, Norfolk. This open procurement process, classified under 'Single-purpose sports facilities construction work' (CPV code 45212210), is currently in the tender stage, with submissions due by 23:59 on 31 January 2020. The selected contractor is expected to commence work during June 2020, with a project value estimated between £30,000 and £40,000.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the construction and sports facility sectors, especially those specialising in designing and building recreational areas. Companies that can demonstrate experience in similar projects, provide fixed-price bids, and ensure site safety will be well-positioned to compete. The project encourages local engagement, as a concept design will need consultation with skate park users, making it ideal for firms familiar with community-oriented projects.
