Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence, specifically the Defence Electronics and Components Agency (DECA), is seeking proposals for the 'Design, Supply & Installation of Mechanical Calibration Laboratory' project located in Deeside, Wales. This procurement is currently in the Tender stage, with a closing date for submissions set for 6th October 2016. The successful contractor will need to meet several minimum criteria and complete the project by 31st March 2017, focusing on creating a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in engineering services and laboratory installations. Companies that hold required accreditations, such as BS OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, would be particularly well-suited to compete. With the importance placed on minimising downtime and future expansion capabilities, firms with a strong track record in similar projects and a creative approach to modern laboratory design would find this contract appealing.
