Summary of the contracting process

The Hyde Housing Association Ltd has initiated a tender process for a new grounds maintenance services framework, titled "Hyde Grounds Maintenance Services Framework Tender." The framework will cater to four geographic regions: London, Kent, South, and North (East Anglia). This tender, classified under CPV code 77314000 for grounds maintenance services, falls under the services procurement category. The open procedure will allow interested entities to directly participate in the tender. Key dates include the tender period ending on 5th December 2024 and the commencement of the contract on 1st May 2025, lasting until 1st May 2028. The procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, and the minimum contract value is GBP 848,870, with an estimated total value of GBP 2,211,000.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses within the grounds maintenance industry to secure long-term contracts and enhance their market presence. The four-year framework agreement allows flexibility through direct call-offs and mini-tenders, catering to a variety of public sector bodies including housing associations, councils, and government departments. Companies that specialise in or have experience with large-scale grounds maintenance services and can provide competitive pricing and high-quality service would be well-suited to compete. While the framework is not specifically tailored for SMEs or VCSEs, businesses with substantial capacity and expertise in managing extensive maintenance projects are likely to benefit most from this procurement.
