This procurement process is intended for the location of Lakeside North Harbour, Portsmouth, PO6 3EN. Key dates include the engagement end date on 14th November 2024. The council is seeking early engagement and market feedback to inform an upcoming tender for a contract valued at around £225,000 per annum, potentially lasting up to seven years (three years initially with a possible four-year extension). Interested suppliers must submit their completed questionnaires via the InTend system by 12:00 on 6th September 2024.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in grounds maintenance services to establish a lucrative, long-term contract with Portsmouth City Council. The feedback process allows suppliers to influence the final procurement specifications, making this a prime opportunity for businesses that can offer innovative solutions and demonstrate their capacity to handle large-scale maintenance projects. Small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) focusing on horticulture, landscaping, and grounds management may find this particularly attractive, as the council aims to gauge genuine interest and gather valuable insights that could shape the future procurement strategy.
