Cambridge City Council - Expression of interest for Emergency Boiler Installation (Labour only)

Notice Description

The Cambridge City Council (CCC) is seeking the provisions of emergency boiler installations services to properties within the Councils housing stock of approximately 7500 properties. Emergency boiler installations means that an existing boiler cannot be economically repaired or produce heating and or hot water. Subject to The Secure Tenants of Local Housing Authorities (Right to Repair) Regulations 1994 and to remain within the prescribed Government targets the emergency installation between 31st October and 1st May must be completed within 1 Working Day (24 Hours) from diagnosis and between the 1st May and 31st October must be completed within 3 Working Days (72 Hours) The Council is looking to award a contract to a number of contractors, most likely three (3) and no more than four (4) for the allocation of emergency boiler installation work to deliver this requirement. Those contractors appointed to this contract will be given emergency installation work as and when emergency installation work arise and would be purely on a responsive basis. All installation work must be completed by competent Gas Safe engineers and every installation will be subject to a third-party inspection to be completed by Morgan Lambert. Performance will be reviewed for every installation. Work will be allocated on a rotational basis through each position on the framework. The boilers within Council properties are limited to only a few make and models due to energy performance (SEDBUK ratings) and Van stocks that is to be maintained to deliver its repair and maintenance service and is not to be deviated from.
