Woolwich Ferry Service
Notice Description
TfL is undertaking an Early Market Engagement exercise via a Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) to gauge interest and seek feedback from the market place for the operation of the Woolwich Ferry for when the current contract expires in 2020. The operation of the Woolwich Free Ferry (WFF) is a TfL statutory duty. Within TfL, responsibility for managing the operation of the Woolwich Ferry is delegated to London River Services Ltd (LRSL). Historically the service has operated with three vessels which are in the process of being replaced by two new hybrid low emission vessels. The contract will cover the operation of passenger and vehicle transport servicesand the maintenance of the two new ferries and associated infrastructure as well as lease of the land andproperty from LRSL. The MSQ can be accessed via ProContract at the below URL, where interested suppliers should also registertheir interest. The MSQ will seek views on a number of aspects including contract timescales, contractual terms, performance management and others as well as the gauging the general level of interest in this opportunity.
