Market Testing: Civil Engineering Consultancy with tunnelling experience
Notice Description
Cheshire West and Chester Council will soon be looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineering Consultancy to manage the construction phase of a 1.8km surface water sewer to be constructed by tunnelling machine from Chester City Centre to the River Dee. The works are valued at cPS5m and will be carried out by VINCI UK Ltd (and their specialist tunnelling sub-contractor) during 2020. The Scope of Services will include the management of a NEC Contract with full main contractor design liability, with the selected consultant providing Project Management, Supervising Officer and Quantity Surveying duties. In addition to the management of the Works, additional services will be required to provide Technical Administrator support to the Council following the main contractor's selection of the Surface Water Design Consultant. The Council would like to hear from interested bidders in order to understand the market for this specialist area of consultancy. Please respond to this advert with a maximum two page summary of your experience and abilities. The Council is likely to meet with selected respondents.
