Notice Title

Ingeus NCS 2.0 - call for Delivery Partners

Notice Description

A Youth Programme Like No Other The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a personal and social development programme for 15-17 year olds. Established in 2011, the programme aims to build a more cohesive, mobile and engaged society. By bringing young people together from different backgrounds for a unique, shared experience, NCS helps them to fulfil their potential and broaden their horizons. We build bridges across social divides and ladders to opportunities. We bring young people together in common purpose to change their perspectives and lives for good. We push them hard to see what they can achieve, smashing the self-doubt that holds too many back. NCS, whenever it happens, is always built on these foundations; Social mixing - young people are provided with the opportunity to mix and build relationships with people from different social backgrounds. Challenge - NCSers are taken out of their comfort zone (physically and emotionally) and supported to build strength of character. Increased responsibility and independence - young people experience a progressive journey with an increasing sense of responsibility. Reflection - young people are supported to learn from experiences in the programme. Social action - NCSers are enabled to connect with and impact upon their community, developing skills and knowledge useful for future life. Inspiration Young people are encouraged to continue to mix, contribute to their community and achieve personal goals post NCS. NCS exists to help tackle some of the biggest social challenges in our country. Why NCS is here Social cohesion - to bring our community together by building stronger, more integrated communities and fostering young people from different backgrounds. Social mobility - to build essential skills for life and work, investing in our country's future talent. Social engagement - to encourage young people in social action in their communities and the democratic process, building their understanding of their responsibilities as citizens.
