Notice Description

The aim of the project is to provide temporary accommodation for the Prospere Learning Trust to accommodate two school year groups within a new Free School, CHS South, prior to the permanent solution being available in 2020 The Prospere Trust currently operates, Chorlton High School, located next to the proposed site. They have secured over 200 pupils to start in September 2018, the facility will look to accommodate up to 480 pupils from September 2019. This building was previously used as office accommodation, and comprises of four floors with approximately 3,000m2 of accommodation, plus external space to the perimeter of the building, primarily used for car parking. The scope of the project, will only require works to the ground, first and second floors, occupying approximately 2,295m2. The condition of the building is generally good having been used for open-plan office accommodation. The project will be procured under a single stage traditional design contract, anticipated to be JCT Intermediate Form Contract. From anticipated appointment to completion of the project there is a 9-week period to accommodate ordering of any materials and completion of the works.
