Visit Leicester is Leicester?s Information Centre providing information on places to go, what to see and where to stay in the city and beyond - to tourists, people who work in the city, visitors and residents. The main functions of Visit Leicester are: ? Information dissemination ? gathering and communicating a broad range of information on places to see and stay and what is happening in the city ? Selling tickets for the Curve, De Montfort Hall and attractions such as the King Richard III Visitor Centre, via an imbedded box office operation ? Merchandising ? the sale of books, souvenirs and gifts related to the events and attractions found in the city. The centre is located in a prime city centre location with excellent window space. However, the current visual merchandising is poor and needs to be greatly improved. The object of this commission is to revitalise the customer-facing areas of the centre to allow it to perform its work more efficiently ? with a key emphasis on increasing merchandise sales through the design and delivery of effective display and shop fittings.
