The London Borough of Lambeth is inviting tenders for the project titled "Growing Brixton's Rec Quarter," which aims to develop the sites at 49 Brixton Station Road and 6 Canterbury Crescent. This initiative falls under the construction industry, with a focus on sustainable development that enhances the local community. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with submissions due by 4th May 2021. The successful partner will collaborate with the Council to create around 240 homes and more than 6,500 sqm of workspace, including affordable options, and improve public infrastructure in Brixton Town Centre. Firms specialising in sustainable building practices, affordable housing, and community engagement initiatives would be particularly well-suited to respond. By partnering with the London Borough of Lambeth, successful bidders will not only contribute to a community-focused project but also tap into the demand for local employment, which prioritises the creation of jobs for residents and promotes the London Living Wage.

Growing Brixton's Rec Quarter - 49 Brixton Station Road and 6 Canterbury Crescent

Notice Description

The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking to secure a delivery partner/consortium that will be able to realise the Council's ambitions of supporting the long-term resilience of Brixton town Centre through the sustainable, net zero development of two sites in Brixton Town Centre which will deliver significant benefits for the local community.
