Summary of the contracting process

Derby Homes Ltd has announced the completion of the tender process for the "DH17062 - General Builders Framework" aimed at establishing a framework with five service providers for general repairs and maintenance work within Derby. The total maximum spend is £4 million over a period of four years. The procurement method was an open procedure, and the contract period runs from 29 January 2019 to 1 October 2022. The tender concluded on 2 October 2018, with the relevant industry category focusing on repair and maintenance services in the East Midlands region of the United Kingdom.

This framework presents significant growth opportunities for construction and building service companies, particularly those specialising in repairs and maintenance. Businesses that can effectively compete include small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in construction, as well as larger firms with expertise in general building works. The competitive nature of the framework will allow selected providers to engage in further competitions for work as required, making it an attractive prospect for capable contractors within the industry.
