Summary of the contracting process

Boeing Defence UK, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, is initiating the Boeing Defence UK Cluster Training Programme 2026. This programme aims to foster collaboration between UK SMEs and the defence industry by offering a series of training events held in Bristol and potentially other Boeing UK and industry sites. This procurement process is currently in the planning stage with essential dates for expressions of interest and applications, ending on 27th March 2026 and 3rd April 2026, respectively. The industry category is primarily parts for helicopters under CPV classification 34731700, and the programme is tailored to UK-based SMEs, particularly those specialising in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) and other areas related to aerospace components.

This tender provides significant growth opportunities for SMEs with capabilities in specific aerospace domains, offering them a free training platform to enhance their skills and engage directly with prominent industry players. Businesses specialising in composite fabrication, wiring bundles, ground support equipment, and related special processes will find this programme particularly beneficial. The selection process will consider expressions of interest and subsequent applications, culminating in a formal invitation to participate in further training events. SMEs looking to strengthen their supply chain connections and showcase their competencies to Boeing will benefit from the networking opportunities and continued support through engagements with Boeing's Supply Chain Social Governance team.
