Summary of the contracting process

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is currently conducting a procurement process for the acquisition of low noise microwave synthesizers, as outlined in their Request for Quote (RFQ) titled "Request for Quote for Low Noise Microwave Synthesizers". This procurement falls under the laboratory, optical, and precision equipment industry category and is located in Teddington, England. The procurement method employed is a direct single tender action, with a total estimated value of £92,780. The tender period concluded on 18th June 2020, while the contract is set to commence on 23rd July 2020 and will last until 31st December 2020.

This opportunity presents significant potential for suppliers, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community and social enterprises (VCSEs), looking to expand their business in the scientific and technological equipment sectors. Companies offering precision laboratory equipment and those with capabilities in microwave technology would be especially well-positioned to compete in this tender. Suppliers that can demonstrate proven experience and quality in delivering similar equipment will likely have an advantage, making this an attractive opportunity for businesses looking to collaborate with a leading research institution.
