TC1029 - Hyde Road (A57) Pinch Point Widening Scheme
Notice Description
Manchester City Council is prepared to receive tenders for Hyde Road (A57) Pinch Point Widening Scheme which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed. The A57 Hyde Road is a strategically important trunk road which forms part of the main arterial route network in and out of Manchester City Centre. Hyde Road is a link between the junctions of the M60 and M67 motorways to the east and Ardwick Green South (A6) to the west. For the majority of its length Hyde Road is a dual carriageway in both directions. However, between Far Lane and Wall Way the dual carriageway narrows to a single carriageway. In order to reduce congestion on Hyde Road, the scheme comprises the widening of Hyde Road (A57) from 2 lanes to 4 lanes between Far Lane and Woodland Avenue. Additional information: The Council is using the portal known as The Chest (www.the-chest.org.uk) where tenderers will need toregister their details. Once registered, tenderers will be emailed along-in and password which will allowapplicants to gain access to the tender documents. Tenderers will need to electronically submit the completedtender documentation by Monday 16.08.19 11:00 a.m. Any clarification queries will also need to be submittedvia The Chest website. The successful tenderer(s) will be required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality of the delivery of the contract. Selection and award criteria, specification requirements and contract performance conditions may relate to social and environmental considerations.
