Notice Title

Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership Local Evaluation for Sport/Art/Culture Intervention Programmes

Notice Description

As set out in the Home Office Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) and Police Surge Funding Application Guidance, recipients of 21/22 Violence Reduction Partnerships funding must conduct evaluation at a local level. This is in order to help understand how VRUs are reducing serious violence based on their plans set out in the Strategic Needs Assessment/Problem Profile and Response Strategy. The scope of the local evaluation required will be to provide Merseyside VRP with guidance and advice based on current and future sustainability specifically in regards to future funding of sport, arts and culture intervention activity. The focus of local evaluations should be to develop an understanding of what works at an intervention level. In doing this, robust local evaluations will contribute to the evidence base of 'what works' in reducing serious violence and will also capture key learning for the sustainability of Merseyside VRP.
