Notice Title

Network Services - Barrow Campus - AWARD

Notice Description

The ITT is issued under the following framework: Crown Commercial Services Network Services 2 - RM3808 Lot 2, Local connectivity services. The procurement aim of UoC is to achieve value for money in its awarding of this contract. UoC is intending to award the contract to one supplier. There will be no commitment made to either the total value or number of orders placed in relation to this contract. The programme will look to re-architect the university's network, re-evaluating its Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) provision, to deliver a new Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA) as part of a wider Secure Service Edge adoption. The network will underpin and form a key component of what will be a smart campus at Barrow-in-Furness, with the connectivity component enabling all the other component elements of the smart campus to inter-connect. This includes sensors, control devices and user devices. This will be achieved in a phased approach starting with a new campus in Barrow-In-Furness in 2024, followed by a further new campus in Carlisle in 2026. Further phases will see a full rolling refresh programme at UoC's other campuses. This ITT is for Phase 1, Barrow-in-Furness, only.
