Notice Description
East Sussex County Council have awarded a Strategic Provider for the provision of Direct Payment Core Support (including DBS checks) and Managed Account Services and Payroll Services and two (2) providers of a Managed Account Services and Payroll Services Lot 1 Part 1 Strategic Partner for Direct Payment Support Services which enables people to understand and manage their Direct Payment to meet their care needs. Lot 1 Part 2 Approved Managed Account and payroll provider. Lot 2 Approved Managed Account and payroll provider. Direct Payments are one of the ways someone can receive their Personal Budget to help them pay for the care and support they need. A Direct Payment can give someone more choice and control over the services they use and where they get them from. An individual can choose to receive all, or part, of their Personal Budget as a Direct Payment so that they can buy services or pay someone to support them. A Direct Payment can be spent on services which are legal, keep them safe and healthy, and meet people's eligible needs. There are currently around 1,500 people in East Sussex receiving a Direct Payment. Additional information: The service was split into two Lots to ensure The Care Act requirement of client choice was met. The Lots were established to achieve the required Strategic Partner, as well as encompassing the requirement for additional providers to enable client choice. For the managed account and payroll services within Lot 1 Part 2 and Lot 2 there is no guarantee of work and they will be chosen by the client as appropriate.
