REQUEST FOR INFORMATION CUSTOMER: DVLA DATE RESPONSE REQUIRED: 12:00 noon on 16/01/2023 Dear Supplier, DVLA is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) in regards to a potential procurement for Personalised Registration Auction Services. A similar service is currently provided to DVLA under a contract that expires in March 2024. DVLA plans to advertise a new procurement in early March 2023 to replace the existing service, but with a different scope being considered: instead of a service to auction Personalised Registrations via both venue-based (physical) auctions and online auctions, a replacement service is being considered that is potentially entirely online, without any physical auctions. This RFI therefore seeks information from the potential supply market, to inform DVLA's commercial strategy for this potential procurement. Please note that this RFI is part of early pre-tender market engagement and has no bearing on any supplier's chance of success at any commercial competition that may take place subsequently. Any supplier responses submitted to DVLA will be treated in confidence, and accepted for information only, with no commitment intended for either party. Any costs mentioned in responses are understood to be indicative ROM ("Rough Order of Magnitude") costs only; they will not be considered binding or constitute an offer capable of acceptance.  Any subsequently executed contracts for services, supplies or works relating to this RFI exercise will be subject to separate procurement process(es) in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) as may be required.  All participants in this RFI exercise shall be responsible for their own costs of responding (including any third party costs) and DVLA shall have no liability to any participant in this respect.  No de-selection of potential supplier will take place because of any responses or interactions relating to this RFI.  DVLA expects that all responses to this RFI will be provided by potential suppliers in good faith to the best of their ability in the light of information available at the time of their response.  No information provided by a potential supplier in response to this RFI will be carried forward, used or acknowledged in any way for the purpose of evaluating the potential supplier, in any subsequent formal procurement process. Please download the attachment to learn more and to respond to 3 simple questions that will help to inform this potential procurement.
