Notice Description

In approx. 12 buildings at Cameron Barracks located in Inverness the following works will be required but not limited to: Removal of safeguarding adaptions Removal of safeguarding adaptions i.e. pipe boxing, stairwell protection, boxing around services and servers. Once removed all redundant material should be disposed of from site. Working around and moving building fixtures, fittings & furniture to allow the works to take place. cataloguing of existing pictures, decorations, furniture, signs and stickering to ensure they are put back in original locations upon completion. Clean each building prior to redecorating works commencing, floors, walls ceilings, doors, windows skirtings, radiators, fixtures and fittings to remove dust, grease and cobwebs, and surface contaminants. Removal of all existing pictures, decorations, signs, notice boards etc. Prepare all surfaces ready for new decorations works by rubbing down all painted surfaces to remove loose flaking paintwork to provide a suitable key for new paint. Fill any cracks and holes using appropriate filler materials, once filler has set rub down and feather in to surrounding surfaces, finally remove all sanding dust and debris prior to applying paint. Prior to commencement of redecoration works ensure to protect all floors, furnishings, fittings and surfaces using clean dust sheets, masking tape and protective sheeting. All decorated surfaces should be finished to a uniform, clean, and even appearance. Apply a coat of primer/undercoat and two full coats of approved finish paint to all previously painted surfaces and three to coats to any bare surface. All paint to be applied in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and colours approved by the project manager. All stained timber elements painted with a suitable primer-sealer bond coat as required, then 2nr. coats of a colour matched stain. All existing carpet and Vinyl/Laminate floor coverings are to be removed and replaced with new, old coverings to be disposed offsite, substrate prepared as required ready to receive the new floor coverings, new coverings of carpet and Vinyl/Laminate to be agreed in conjunction with the site team and project manager.
