Notice Description

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust intends to implement an asset tracking GS1 barcode system for instrument tracking. The Trust intends to purchase 100,000 unique GS1 asset tags (and associated enabling equipment and technology) that is capable to be affixed to instruments through oven curing method (least adhesive at initial tack, but strong adhesion after oven curing). The asset tags must be biocompatible to certified standards of ISO 10993-1, ISO 10993-5, and ISO 10993-12. Other technical information: * Peel strength (adhesion) on steel, determined in accordance with DIN EN 1939, 1996 edition, at +23 degC (+/- 2 degC) 10 min. after application, test speed 300mm/min, peel angle 180deg: > 10N/25mm * Dynamic shear strength (cohesion) on steel, determined in accordance with DIN EN 1465, 1996 edition, at +23 degC (+/- 2 degC), 24h after curing, test speed 2mm/min > 4000N/312mm2 * Separating force of the covering N/25mm: o Reverse 0.06-0.20|Adhesive side 0.20-0.65 o Softening temperature from 50 degC to 80 degC o Activation temperature from 130 degC o Recommended curing temperature 130-200 degC The Trust is currently seeking for providers that will be able to provide the objects of procurement stated above.
