Summary of the contracting process

The Daventry District Council is seeking a consultancy to provide design services for a Multi-disciplinary Waste Transfer Station (WTS) as part of a new Environmental Services contract that will commence operations in June 2018. This project is classified under construction work and is based in the East Midlands, United Kingdom. The tender process is in the Award stage, with the contract awarded on 12 August 2017 for a period that extends until 30 June 2019. The total budget for this consultancy service is set at £90,000, and the tender period concluded on 19 July 2017.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth for consultancy firms specialising in environmental services, architectural design, structural and civil engineering, and related engineering disciplines. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) would be particularly well-positioned to compete, given the emphasis on inclusive procurement practices. Businesses in the construction and waste management sectors can leverage this opportunity to expand their portfolio and engage in a long-term partnership with the council, contributing to the redevelopment and operational efficiency of the Waste Transfer Station.
