Summary of the contracting process

The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) is seeking suppliers for an Employee Engagement Survey, aimed at benchmarking and improving employee satisfaction. This tender is classified under customer survey services and is situated in London, UK. The procurement process is currently in the Tender stage, with submissions due by 26th October 2018. The contract is set to begin on 12th November 2018 and will run until 31st March 2023, with a total contract value of £500,000 and a minimum value of £100,000. The procurement method is open, allowing for broad participation from interested companies.

This contract presents a significant opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialised in survey design and execution, as well as customer engagement. Businesses providing services such as survey conduction and analysis, along with the creation of actionable insights for line managers, would be particularly well-suited to compete for this tender. The requirement for an online portal to manage the survey process further indicates the potential for tech-focused firms with expertise in data management and reporting solutions to thrive in this bid.

Notice Title

GB-London: Employee Engagement Survey

Notice Description

RSSB conducted an employee engagement survey in both 2017 and 2018, with questions and outcomes clearly identified. The 2019 survey shall utilise the same questions, scoring and reporting format to allow RSSB to continue benchmarking against progress made to date. For the 2019 and future survey RSSB also requires the creation of action plans for all line managers based on the results of the survey. However, in future years, RSSB may require the supplier to support the review and development of questions, scoring, reporting and action planning in a different direction - whilst still ensuring the ability to benchmark against previous years. RSSB also require an online portal to both deliver the survey, store the results and to provide line managers with accounts to access and update their action plans. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
