The Ministry of Defence is seeking tenders for the role of Product Owner(s) and Capability Integration for the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) and Dismounted Overt Soldier Platform (DOSP). This project falls within the services industry category, specifically focusing on software and hardware integration consultancy services. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with applications for the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) due by 15:00 on 26th April 2022, and submissions required by the close of business on 4th May 2022. The project is anticipated to commence on 1st February 2023 and extend until 31st December 2031, with a total estimated value of £4 million. Delivery addresses for the contract include regions across the West Midlands, South East, and South West of the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses, particularly those with expertise in agile software delivery and military integration services. Companies that hold a Facility Security Clearance (FSC) at the SECRET level and possess personnel with Developed Vetting (DV) clearance are encouraged to apply. The procurement method is classified as exempt, indicating a restricted competition, which may benefit qualified small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to engage with government contracts. As the contractor will liaise closely with both military end-users and suppliers, businesses specialising in defence and security technology are well-positioned to compete for this contract.
